Population Demographics

Overview

The Population Demographics dashboard provides a summary view of the U.S. population by region based on six key factors: diversity, educational attainment, unemployment, median income, home ownership, and business ownership. Powered primarily by the U.S. Census survey, this dashboard offers a high-level lens on how communities compare across foundational socioeconomic factors that can impose risks or create opportunities for growth.

This view is intended to help leaders understand the markets where they operate and how their stakeholders (employees, suppliers, customers) compare to those communities.

What the Data Reveals

The dashboard highlights differences in diversity, education, employment, income, and ownership that shape both risks and opportunities. By surfacing these variations, stakeholders can begin to:

  1. Identify which communities are most equitable across key measures.
  2. Compare organizational stakeholders to surrounding communities to assess alignment and gaps.
  3. Explore growth opportunities that may exist in underserved or underrepresented markets.
